Residence Providers are households who volunteer to provide their loving home will assume the permanent and total responsibility for caring for another owner’s dog until its demise.
Residence Providers must be extremely enthusiastic dog-lovers, and completely devoted to providing a safe, comfortable home, and beautiful life for the owner’s dogs. They will be totally responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards in dog-care and must care for the dogs as they would their very own dog and family.
Residence Providers will be totally responsible for feeding, grooming, exercising, medical care, and providing a comfortable lifestyle for the pet-dog, including satisfying reasonable special requests by the owner. They must be extremely dog-loving and enjoy their companionship and commit to providing a loving home and beautiful life to the owner’s dog until their demise.
Residence Providers must allocate sufficient time to provide emotional support and comforting services with regular visitation to the living dog-owner’s home, their own dwelling, or an outside facility. They must make suitable arrangements for the dogs’ care when away from their property, and provide an acceptable backup for any Residence Providers difficulty.
Residence Providers, upon the owner’s demise, should be able to devote sufficient time to provide community services by regularly visiting patients in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and veteran’s facilities, for comforting support services.
Residence Providers who use their own dwelling must comply with all local zoning ordinances. Those who rent must have written permission from their landlord. Residence Providers who accept these dogs will have all veterinarian, food, grooming and other miscellaneous expenses covered by the CRiSP program.
Long-term compensation will be determined based on time commitment and performance.
