RESIDENCE PROVIDER RESPONSIBILITIES
Residence Providers are extremely enthusiastic dog-lovers who volunteer their households
to provide a safe, comfortable home, and beautiful life for owner’s dogs and will assume responsibility the following:
- Permanent and total care for another owner’s dog until its demise.
- Maintain the highest quality standards in dog-care
- Care for the dogs as they would their very own dog and family.
- Feeding, grooming, exercising, medical care, and providing a comfortable lifestyle for the pet-dog, including satisfying reasonable special requests by the owner.
- Must be extremely dog-loving and enjoy their companionship and commit to providing a loving home and beautiful life to the owner’s dog until their demise.
- Allocate sufficient time to provide emotional support and comfort services with regular visitation to the living dog-owner’s home, their own dwelling, or an outside facility.
- Make suitable arrangements for the dogs’ care when away from their property, and provide an acceptable backup for any Residence Providers difficulty.
- Upon the owner’s demise, should be able to devote sufficient time to provide community services by regularly visiting patients in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and veteran’s facilities, for comforting support services.
- Must comply with all local zoning ordinances when using their own dwelling.
- Have written permission from their landlord if renting.
Residence Providers who accept these dogs will have all veterinarian, food, grooming and other miscellaneous expenses covered by the CRiSP program.
