“Providing free dog food to people may not sound like much, but when you see the relief in the eyes of people as they pick up the food then you realize the pain and worry of being in a situation where you are struggling to provide your pet with food. We want to take this weight off people’s shoulders, let them know that they can come to Jazzy’s Place to get dog food, and that they will not have to surrender their dog to a shelter or let it go hungry for lack of resources. I am really proud of what we are doing, we are showing people someone truly cares about what they are going through and understands the love they have for their pets, and we are making sure those pets stay safe by their owner’s side.”

The CBF supports the CRiSP program to
provide emotional support and comfort for those who are handicapped, or unable to maintain a safe and loving home for their pet dog. This initiative serves a dual purpose by offering community services to hospitals, rehabilitation centers and veteran’s facilities.
The Caplan-Bensley Foundation (CBF) overall mission is to provide individuals and families in need, along with their canine companions a well-nourished, safe, comfortable, and secure life. In an effort to help families keep their beloved pet dogs at home, CBF sponsors two complimentary charitable programs - Jazzy’s Place and Canine Residences in Supporting People (CRiSP). Together, they fulfill the strategic objective of “Saving Both Ends of the Leash®”.
Jazzy’s Place provides free dog food to help households who are experiencing difficulties feed their beloved pet dog and keep them at home so they are never
abandoned or placed in an animal shelter. Grants for free dog food are provided through a network of fully vetted food banks and pantries who are part of the Feeding America program.
