Qualifications and compensation

The CEO will be responsible for the Caplan-Bensley Foundation and Jazzy’s Place program and must have experience as a senior-level executive in growing a nonprofit organization.

This opportunity is only available to a candidate who is intensely passionate about leading a humanitarian relief and animal welfare foundation dedicated to helping families
in need and their pet-dogs.

The CEO can devote full or part-time, and have outside employment, but needs to dedicate sufficient effort for management and fundraising that supports the Jazzy's Place program and development of new initiatives.
Responsibilities involve donor solicitation, event planning, volunteer recruitment, product sourcing and other administrative functions.

For the benefit of both parties, a mutually agreed evaluation period will be needed to set goals and establish initial compensation.

Long-term compensation will be determined based on time commitment and performance.

As the CBF looks to the future, we will be introducing new initiatives to greatly increase the number of food banks participating in the Jazzy’s Place grant program.

One initiative is to establish a network of suppliers where food banks can purchase short-expiration dog food at drastically reduced prices. This would allow food banks to rapidly distribute dog food, freeing up additional space for human food.

In addition, a complementary dog food distribution program would provide delivery and auxiliary storage to help alleviate space constraints. This will maximize human food distribution, especially during times of food inflation and insecurity.

The CEO will be expected to develop and implement additional growth opportunities.

These programs, aimed at fulfilling the CBF mission, will feed a greater number of households and their pet-dogs, thereby "Saving Both Ends of the Leash".
