Foster Home Residences are available for dog-owners who do not wish their dog to provide owner visitation or the community emotional support and therapy services; or for owners whose dog is not able to meet the requirements as an emotional support or therapy dog.

This program is also available to qualified individuals or families who likewise may not choose to provide community services, but at the same time would like to provide a comfortable and loving home for a living or deceased owners pet-dog.

Foster home providers must have demonstrated experience in having been responsible for the proper care, and safety of a small number of dogs. They must be extremely dog-loving and enjoy their companionship and commit to providing a loving home and beautiful life to the owner’s dog until their demise.

These dog-owners will have the same assurances for their pet-dog’s comfort, safety and well-being. Foster Home Providers who accept these dogs into their homes will have all veterinarian, food, grooming and other miscellaneous expenses covered by the CBF-CRiSP program.

The CBF would look to pet owners to provide contributions, funded endowments, bequests or pledges in their estate plans similar to what was previously outlined for the Living and Deceased Owners Programs.
